Surf Fishing-NC

Back in October my wife and I along with five other couples rented a house at the Outer Banks.  The first few days there it was windy as in 15 to 18 mph with gust up to 30 mph.  I was hoping to get to the beach for sunrise. No way was I going to take my camera out on the beach with the wind blowing like it was. Than finally one morning it was calm so I grabbed my camera and quietly left the house because I just knew I was the first one up. With half hour or so till sunrise and a 5 minute walk to the beach I had plenty of time. To my surprise when I got to the beach there was my friend Zane already there fishing. One thing I have learned about photography and life is you have to be flexible. When the sun started rising above the horizon and Zane there fishing I knew he would make a better image than the spot I had picked out.
