Jennie’s Diner in Lancaster co. is a Route 30 landmark. They say if you see a diner and a lot of trucks are parked outside, the food inside must be good.  You’ll find plenty of big rig drivers at the counter You’ll also rub shoulders with scores of regulars.  Jennie’s is also one of those places you can get breakfast anytime. If you’re up for it, take Jennie’s “Pancake Challenge.” They’ll serve you one giant pancake and if you can finish it, you’ll get a free T-shirt and your picture taken.

LOCATION: 2575 Lincoln Highway East, Ronks, just past the intersection of Route 30 and Route 896.

HOURS: Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Jennie’s closes Christmas Eve and is generally closed Christmas Day, reopening at 5:05 a.m. Dec. 26.
